Ted Washington Sr. is a former American professional football player who played as a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. He was born on April 13, 1968, in Tampa, Florida, and attended the University of Louisville.
Washington was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the 1991 NFL Draft and went on to play for several teams, including the Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, and Cleveland Browns. He was known for his impressive size, standing at 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 375 pounds.
Throughout his career, Washington was named to four Pro Bowls and won a Super Bowl with the New England Patriots in 2003. He retired from the NFL in 2007 and was inducted into the University of Louisville Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008.
